High-rise under construction in Baghdad at golden hour

Vertical engineering · Iraq

We raise Iraq.

IRTIQA installs passenger and freight lifts on live construction sites — from the empty shaft to handover — in Baghdad, Basra, Erbil and beyond.

The company

A construction house that thinks in shafts.

IRTIQA is an Iraqi engineering firm. Construction is in our blood; elevators are our craft. We work inside unfinished towers, dusty cores and live sites — the kind of work that does not wait for perfect conditions.

Our crews install, modernize and maintain lifts to EN 81 practice, coordinated with the building’s structure, not after it. That is why contractors call us before the last slab is poured.

What we do

Elevators first. Buildings with them.

Most of our work is lift installation on Iraqi construction sites. The rest is the structure that holds them.

Elevator shaft installation inside an Iraqi high-rise
Core work

Elevator installation

Passenger, bed, panoramic and freight lifts. Guide rails, cars, doors, controllers, machine rooms or MRL — from first bracket to inspection.

Maintenance & rescue

Scheduled service, 24/7 call-out and trapped-passenger response for hotels, hospitals and residential towers.

Modernization

New cabins, doors, drives and controllers in existing shafts. Quiet, faster, safer — without rebuilding the tower.

Construction

Core-and-shell, shaft forming, structural steel and finishing on mid-rise Iraqi projects where we also install the lifts.

Safety inspection

Pre-handover checks, load tests and documentation ready for local authority and client engineers.

Project coordination

One team for the shaft, the lift and the lobby interface — so the contractor is not managing three suppliers.

These are our sites: Baghdad cores, Basra malls, Erbil towers. Not stock cities.

How we work

From empty core to first ride.

  1. 01

    Site survey

We measure the shaft, the pit, the headroom and the power. You get a clear scope before steel is ordered.

  2. 02

    Shaft & structure

Rails, brackets and interfaces are set while the building is still rising — not after the finishes are already late.

  3. 03

    Install & test

Car, doors, controller, wiring. Then load tests, door timing and safety-gear checks on site.

  4. 04

    Handover

Training for the building team, spare parts list, and a maintenance plan that actually gets used.
